Executive communication coaching

Sound as certain as you are.

For multilingual leaders whose English is strong on paper — but harder to reach when the meeting speeds up, someone interrupts, or the stakes go up.

The dots in the headline mark word stress — the first of five sound patterns we work on. Try all five

Sound familiar?

You knew the answer in two seconds. You said it in thirty.

You know your subject. But when a conversation moves fast, someone interrupts, or the stakes go up, something breaks down — and it isn’t your vocabulary or your grammar.

  1. 01 You understand English well on paper, but normal conversational speed loses you.
  2. 02 People ask you to repeat yourself, even when you’re sure you pronounced it correctly.
  3. 03 You know exactly what you want to say, but can’t organize it fast enough while speaking.
  4. 04 You go quiet in meetings, because building the sentence takes longer than the conversation allows.

These aren’t signs you need to try harder. They’re signs of a sound system you were never taught — and it’s learnable.

The method

Spoken English isn’t made of separate words.

Native speakers stress some words, reduce others, link sounds together and use rhythm to organize meaning. If you learned English mostly through writing or careful classroom speech, that system was never taught to you. Here’s what it looks like.

What do you want to do?

Heard at full speed, it can sound like one long word.

How we work

Not more rules. The mechanics of spoken English, applied to your real work.

  1. 01

    Diagnostic

We identify exactly what’s breaking down — listening, finding words, structure or delivery — before we try to fix it.

  2. 02

    Practical

Changes you can hear within weeks, not years. Not more rules: the mechanics of spoken English.

  3. 03

    Applied

Practice built around your real meetings, calls and presentations — fast discussions, unexpected questions, interruptions and pushback.

Who I help

Multilingual professionals who already use English every day — intermediate to advanced speakers who know their field, and need their English to hold up in it.

  • Managers
  • Directors
  • Executives
  • Engineers
  • Consultants
  • Founders

If this sounds familiar…

  • Meetings move too fast.
  • You lose your words under pressure.
  • Native speakers are hard to follow.
  • You know more English than you can use in real time.

That’s exactly what we work on.

What changes

When English stops getting in the way.

After working together, clients often notice changes like these.

  • Before: Miss part of the discussion

Fast English and different accents make it hard to keep up.

    After: Follow the conversation naturally

You understand more in real time, without asking people to repeat.

  • Before: Pause to find words

You know what you want to say, but the words don’t come.

    After: Respond with confidence

Your ideas come out more smoothly, even in unexpected moments.

  • Before: Shorten your ideas

You simplify or leave things out to keep the conversation moving.

    After: Explain them fully

You express the full depth of your thinking, clearly and naturally.

  • Before: Feel mentally overloaded

Every conversation feels like a high-effort performance.

After: Stay focused on the conversation

You communicate with ease, and leave meetings energized.

The goal isn’t just better English. It’s communication you can rely on when it matters most.

Meet your coach

Hi, I’m Gilliane.

I started teaching in France, working with brilliant managers and executives whose English was strong on paper — but lost clarity the moment a conversation moved fast.

They weren’t missing vocabulary or grammar. They were missing what almost no one teaches directly: how English actually sounds and organizes itself in real time. I built U-Style around that gap, and today I coach professionals from many countries and industries, online, from Dallas–Fort Worth.

The goal is not perfect grammar or removing your accent. It’s to help you follow the discussion, respond more easily, and sound as certain as you are.

Programs

Two ways to work with the method.

Both teach the same thing — word stress, rhythm, linking, reductions and intonation. The difference is how much guidance you want along the way.

Client stories

In their words.

Every one of them had their own breakthrough moment.

As HR for an engineering firm, I recommend Gilliane on behalf of about twenty of our staff — all of whom simply loved her. What makes her so effective? She’s a natural, gifted teacher who adapts effortlessly to each person’s specific blocks around learning and speaking English. Every one of them had their own breakthrough moment. She motivates naturally and stays consistently positive.

“Every English class should be taught this way.”

I took English lessons with Gilliane through my job. Gilliane offers a method completely different from anything I’d seen before. She works on pronunciation, stress, linking, rhythm… In my opinion, every English class should be taught this way. I recommend Gilliane to anyone serious about speaking real English — the way it’s actually spoken in English-speaking countries, not “the French way.”

“We can say the mission is accomplished.”

We’ve been taking lessons with Gilliane for many months, with the goal of relocating to the United States. We can say the mission is accomplished — the progress is real. My wife was able to go through her interview and get hired by an American university, which says it all. These aren’t just lessons — they’re a real exchange, with guidance, advice, stories. Far more than a teacher.

The director who kept losing the thread

One director came to me because he was losing the thread in meetings with his management team. We focused on connected speech, word stress, and recognizing familiar words at natural speed. After a few months, he was following more of the discussion and responding more easily. He also began understanding films and videos in English that had previously been difficult to follow.
